There are sometimes gaps that the community organisation arent aware of and using an assessment tool helps identify gaps, even better it helps show all the things you have completed or are in progress.
Strategic Planning is a process that provides your organisation with medium to long term direction. It guides the organisation where it is going, how it is going to get there and how you will know it got there.
Vision: A short statement of the vision of the where the organisation wants to be in the future.

Mission: A one-sentence statement describing the reason an organisation or program exists at this time. What the organisation is currently doing.
SWOT Analysis is a tool to establish the Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats of an organisation.
The Business Plan describes in detail how the organisation plans to achieve its goals.
The plan will refer to specific tasks and actions to bring about the changes they wish to implement. It will identify who is responsible and when the action is to be completed by, resources required, and any issues that might arise.
